Storms final

Severedust storms can reduce visibility to zero, making it impossible to travel, and blow the topsoil off, depositing it elsewhere. Drought and, of course, the wind contribute to the appearance of dust storms, which impoverish agriculture and livestock. Dust collected in storms can travel thousands of kilometers: Sahara sand storms influence plankton growth

Storms 5

Thunderstorms is a weather disturbance that is almost always associated with lightning, thunder, dense clouds, heavy rain or hail, and strong winds. Thunderstormsoccures when layers of warm, moist air rise in a large, swift updraft to cooler regions of the atmosphere.

Storms 4

The word monsoon actually refers to a seasonal wind shift that creates  thunderstorm for a long time and heavy rain events that add up to incredible rainfall totals. The monsoon typically occurs in regions where mountains or highlands exist near bodies of water that have tropical characteristics.

Storms 3

A tornado is a violent rotating column of air extending from a thunderstorm to the ground. The most violent tornadoes are capable of tremendous destruction and devastating  with wind speeds of up to 300 mph. They can destroy large buildings, take out trees, and make vehicles go far, hundreds of kilometers. They are the most destructive storms..

Storms 2

Hurricane: Hurricanes are large, swirling storms. They produce winds of 119 kilometers per hour (74 mph) or higher. When a hurricane reaches land, it pushes a wall of ocean water ashore. This wall of water is called a storm surge. Heavy rain and storm surge from a hurricane can cause flooding.

Storms

Blizzard: blizzard is a severe snowstorm characterized by strong sustained winds of at least 56 km/h (35 mph) and lasting for a prolonged period of time typically three hours or more. A ground blizzard is a weather condition where snow is not falling but loose snow on the ground is lifted and blown by strong winds

Types of Clouds

The most important types of clouds are: Nimbus, or cumulonimbus, stratus, cumulus and cirrus. The cumulonimbus are the clouds that bring bad weather and ligthnigth storms. Stratus are the ones that are close to the floor as are very and that is the fog. Cumulus are the good weather ones and are fluffy.
